This is an informal session where Members and interested folks can drop by and have a coffee and a cake and talk to us about:
-How the Board run GCE on your behalf
-How are projects are performing
-What we might do in the future - and get your views on that
-How our experience can help your project
-How Members can learn more and get involved

The venue is Centre4 on Wootton Road, Grimsby, DN33 1HE. There is plenty of car parking, also a bike rack by the building.

We will make arrangements to connect to more distant members electronically - via Skype or Facebook Live. If you'd like to try this, then please email back with your preference so we know what to set up (**as always, IT permitting.)
Do feel free to invite others who would be interested.

Grimsby Community Energy
Our mission is
"To reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions by promoting local generation and harnessing, managing and supporting the funding of community renewable energy projects.  To help our local community become aware of, involved in, and benefit from such projects."
What do we do?
The Benefits
Community Energy is a growing sector in the UK, with hundreds of organisations like ours, tens of millions invested by ordinary people, and megawatts of renewable energy generated.
We develop renewable energy projects in the local area.

We raise awareness of the benefits of locally owned community energy.

Local people and organisations invest to support their  community and receive a fair financial return.

Local ownership
Our organisation is owned and controlled by its members.  Local people can get involved in future developments.
Local energy
Our solar PV installations provide cheaper electricity to the host organisations - which are charities or social enterprises.
Renewables revolution
Grimsby is growing as famous for its offshore wind industries as it is already for food.   We offer a way for local people to support the low carbon revolution in a community-centred way.
We are members of Cooperatives UK.   They supported us to set up our organisation, and we have regular support from our mentor to develop as a member owned and controlled community benefit society.
We are members of Community Energy England.   Through them, we can network and share ideas and resources with hundreds of other community energy organisations.
Grimsby Community Energy access support locally through e- Factor's Business Hive.   A great place to meet local business people, discuss what they do, and tell them about Grimsby Community Energy.
